This reserve is located within the larger La Jolla Underwater Park Ecological Reserve and is dedicated to protecting the area\'s rich biodiversity, including a variety of fish, kelp forests, and invertebrates.

Surfing in La Jolla Shores dates back to the early 1900s, when Hawaiian-born surfer and Olympic swimmer George Freeth first introduced the sport to Southern California. The good folks at Skudin Surf, invited me to bring along some of our athletes from USA Surfing’s Para Surf Team to experience their facility, Skudin Surf at American Dream. Along for the strike mission was Team USA Captain, Christiaan “Otter” Bailey, Joshua “the Jedi” Loya, Ty Duckett, and Forrest Weinberg, and in a word, it was EPIC.
