Surf Education Academy LLC (“SEA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides surf lessons, surf camps, adaptive surfing services, group classes, coaching sessions, ISA certification courses, clinics, workshops, seminars, and related ocean‑education programs. By booking or participating in any SEA activity, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions, Liability Waiver, Participant Agreement, Cancellation Policies, and Privacy Practices.
1. PARTICIPATION, SAFETY & LIABILITY
Surfing and ocean activities involve inherent risks to people and property. By participating in any SEA program, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
1.1 Physical Ability Requirements
Participants must:
- Be able to swim at least 200 meters independently
- Be in reasonable physical condition
- Not participate with any heart condition, injury, or illness affecting physical ability
- Not be under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or impairing medications
1.2 Medical Disclosure
You must disclose:
- All medical conditions
- Allergies
- Injuries
- Medications
Disclosures must be made at booking and to your instructor before participation. Parents/guardians must disclose medical information for participants under 18.
1.3 Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge risks including:
- Waves, currents, tides, and changing ocean conditions
- Physical exertion and fatigue
- Impact with boards, equipment, or other participants
- Marine life encounters
- Weather changes, sun exposure, wind, and environmental hazards
1.4 Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release SEA, its owners, instructors, employees, contractors, volunteers, and partners from liability for:
- Personal injury
- Property damage
- Loss or theft
- Consequential damages
- Third‑party claims
This applies during participation and travel to/from SEA activities.
1.5 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify SEA for damages or claims resulting from:
- Your actions
- Your negligence
- Failure to follow instructions
- Violation of SEA policies
2. AGE REQUIREMENTS
- Lessons & Camps: Ages 5+
- Under 5 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
- ISA Courses:
- 16+ to participate
- 18+ to earn certification
3. EQUIPMENT & CLOTHING
SEA provides surfboards and wetsuits, or participants may bring their own.
Participants are responsible for:
- Appropriate beach/outdoor clothing
- Preparing for variable weather
- Checking conditions prior to arrival
Damage or loss of SEA equipment caused by negligence or malicious acts must be paid at current replacement value.
4. SURF & WEATHER CONDITIONS
SEA may cancel, postpone, or reschedule any activity due to extreme surf or weather conditions. This applies to:
- Lessons
- Camps
- Adaptive surfing
- Group classes
- Coaching sessions
- Courses
- Clinics
- Workshops
- Events
5. RIGHT OF REFUSAL
SEA offers equal opportunity to all participants. However, SEA may refuse service or remove participants who present:
- Immediate danger to themselves or others
- Excessive disruption to participants or beachgoers
This decision is made solely for safety.
6. ADAPTIVE SURFING SERVICES
Adaptive surfing participants must:
- Disclose all relevant medical or physical conditions
- Follow instructor guidance
- Have a parent/guardian present if under 18
SEA may adjust staffing, equipment, or lesson structure to ensure safe participation.
7. ACCOMMODATIONS
SEA may recommend local accommodations but does not book lodging and is not responsible for any issues arising from accommodation arrangements.
8. WEBSITE ACCURACY
SEA strives for accuracy in all website content; however, the website is intended as a general guide only.
9. MEDIA & IMAGE USE
Images or video captured during SEA activities may be used without charge for:
- Brochures
- Leaflets
- Videos
- Website content
- Social media
- Digital advertising
To opt out, notify SEA in writing prior to participation.
10. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (ISA COURSES)
ISA certification requires:
- Full participation
- Demonstrated proficiency
- Completion of all curriculum requirements
SEA does not issue refunds if certification requirements are not met.
11. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING POLICIES

- 1+ month prior: Full refund or full credit
- 2+ weeks prior: Full credit (no refund)
- Within 2 weeks:
- $50 reprocessing fee
- Credit only
- Within 72 hours or no‑show: No refund or credit
11.2 Private Lessons, Coaching Sessions & Group Classes
- 72+ hours prior: Full refund or credit
- 72–24 hours prior:
- $25 reprocessing fee
- Credit only
- Less than 24 hours or no‑show: No refund or credit
11.3 Courses, Trainings & Events
Includes ISA courses, clinics, workshops, seminars.
Registration Changes:
- Must be made 30+ days prior
- Subject to availability
- Transfer allowed with:
- Completed registration
- Eligibility confirmation
- $25 administration fee
Cancellation Fees:
- 30+ days prior: $25 administration fee
- 21 days prior: 25% of course cost
- 7 days or less: 100% of course cost

SEA collects basic personal information (name, email), usage data, and analytics via Microsoft Clarity and Facebook Pixel. Bookings are processed through Acuity Scheduling; SEA does not store payment information.
